About

Our Club

The Club plays an active part in supporting the object of Rotary, which is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

1 the development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
2 high ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
3 the application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life; and
4 the advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of business and professioanl persons united in the ideal of service.

We meet regularly in and around Tynemouth and get involved in a variety of activities ranging from a quiet drink! through to absailing and walking whilst undertaking a range of fundraising and charitable activities which raise several thousand pounds each year for local good causes and international projects.

Tynemouth Rotary Club was founded in 1978 to provide a place for like-minded men and women to meet, have fun, network and put something back into the local community.

This is your opportunity to meet new friends – we’re always happy to welcome new members. Drop in and see us – we’d love to meet you!
